Obituary

Michael Anthony Walker was born on December 9, 1964 to Clyde and Barbara (Lanning) Walker in Thomas, OK.   Michael left his earthly home on March 15, 2021 in Oklahoma City having reached the age of 56 years, 3months and 6 days.

Michael spent his early years on the farm in Eagle City. He attended Eagle City Christian Church.  In 1967, his parents discovered that Michael was partially deaf so his mother loaded up her children and took him to Enid so he could start his education at the Speech and Hearing School.   Michael then attended the Jane Brooks School for the Deaf until the 9th Grade.   After that he attended Canton Public Schools.  Michael was busy helping his parents over the summers driving combines and trucks as custom wheat harvester, going from Texas all the way to Canada.   Michael helped drive combines and trucks and whatever else needed done.  Michael had a talent for fixing things and if you know our family, that kind of skill came in very handy!   He loved working on things and could fix almost anything he set his mind too.   He worked over the years as a mechanic in Woodward, drove trucks for Jack Foster and worked on road construction.  He loved fast cars and lived his life to the fullest.   In 1995, Michael married Josephine Buffalomeat in Seiling, OK.  He was blessed to be the father of twin boys, Cody Brock and Brody Drake who he loved with all his heart.  After his declining health, he spent this final years living at home with his mom in Thomas.

Michael is survived by his father, Clyde Walker of Eagle City, his mother Barbara Lanning Walker of Thomas, two sons, Cody, fiancée Alissa Lee and granddaughter Micah Jo Walker of Canton, Brody Walker of Seiling, his sisters, Sheila Thomas and husband Jeff of Broken Arrow, Kelli Litsch of Eagle City, and Melody Hamilton and husband Shayne of Arnett, OK, a niece, many nephews, great nieces, a great nephew and a host of other family members. He is preceded in death by a son Micah Walker, his grandparents Willie and Lula Mae Walker and Lloyd and Hazel Lanning of Watonga, a niece, Quinci Stewart and nephew Logan Stewart.   He will be missed by many other family and friends.
