Michael Ray McKinney was born September 25, 1972, in Chickasha, to Billy Junior and Lucille (Taylor) McKinney and passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Weatherford Regional Hospital, at the age of 51 years, 11 months and 19 days.

Michael was raised and attended school in Hydro, and graduated from Hydro High School in 1990.  Michael married Melissa Reynolds in 1994 and to this marriage two children were born, Mattea McKinney and Randy McKinney.  He loved sports and loved talking to anyone about the sport in question.  Michael has worked and managed Dollar General and Family Dollar stores for over 30 years.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Mattea McKinney of Weatherford; his son, Randy McKinney of Bridgeport; his two grandsons, Dawson McKinney and Kayden Eddings; his father, Bill McKinney and wife, Beverly of Sulphur; his mother, Lucille Boeckman of Weatherford; his brother, Alvin McKinney and wife, Alice of Snowball, AR; his nephew, Alvin McKinney of Cache; and his niece, Morgan McKinney of Cache.  He was preceded in death by his step-father, Bernard Boeckman.
