James Kilhoffer

Dr. Michael (Mike) James Kilhoffer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 3, 2018, at the age of 86 years, 7 months, and 1 day. Mike was born on November 2, 1931 in Canute, Oklahoma to Viola Jenny (Zahasky) Kilhoffer and Anthony George Kilhoffer. Mike, one of 4 children, grew up surrounded by his large and loving extended family of Kilhoffer Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in Canute, Oklahoma. During Mike's years of living in Canute, he made many lifelong friends. Mike was a member of Saint Eugene's Catholic Church in Weatherford Oklahoma for 55 years and His unfailing love for his Faith and God provided a confidence for his family and friends.
Mike met the love of his life the summer of 1947 and married Loretta Elizabeth Hoffman on October 30, 1952. Mike and Loretta were married in Saint Frances Catholic Church and moved to Spokane Washington where Mike served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War. In 1963, Mike graduated from Saint Louis University with a degree in Dentistry, moved to Weatherford Oklahoma to start his practice, and raised four children, Debra, Mike J., Gregory, and Karen. After retiring from Dentistry in 1988, He enjoyed 25 years of farming and raising cattle in Butler Oklahoma where many beautiful memories were made with family and where he will be held memorialized in the hearts of his grandchildren forever.
Mike is survived by his wife Loretta; his children Debra and her husband Brad Thornburg; Mike J. and Nancy; Gregory and his partner Patrick King; and Karen; grandchildren Sean and wife Amy; Jessica and husband Brian; Josh and wife Brooke; Julie and husband Eric; Brian and fiancé Kalee; Manda; Mikael; Ian; and Reagyn; and soon to be 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Helen Snowder; sister-n-law Eula Mae Kilhoffer; sister Sharon and her husband Victor Joyce. Mike is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Kilhoffer and brother-n-law Billy Ray Snowder.
