A celebration of life for Marzelle Granny (Duncan) Kimble, 93 year-old former Hydro, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church of Hydro with John Forsythe officiating. Burial will follow in Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Marzelle Granny was born August 19, 1920 in Willow, Oklahoma to John Edward and Willie T. (Masterson) Duncan and the Lord called her home on Thursday, January 2, 2014, while at her residence in Stillwater, Oklahoma, with both daughters at her side. Marzelle was raised south of Hydro, Oklahoma and attended Hinton schools. She was united in marriage to Earl Floyd Kimble on May 19, 1937 in Hydro, Oklahoma and made their home south of Hydro. They had one son, J.B. Pete and two daughters, Karen and Earline. Marzelle was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed welcoming friends and family into her home. She enjoyed puzzles, fishing and camping, crocheting, sewing, and other crafts. Marzelle was the cornerstone of her family. Memorials may be made to the Hydro First Responders.

Marzelle is survived by her two daughter and their husbands, Karen and Bobby Thompson of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Earline and Darrell Gaynor of Hydro, Oklahoma; her sister, Katherine Kimble of Hydro, Oklahoma; and eight grandchildren, Frank, Donya, Donna, Darren, Nette, Ty, Stacie, and Shelley. She left a legacy of twenty-one great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. Marzelle was also survived by her Carter and Encompass Home Health families, her Judith Karman Hospice family as well as many other relatives and friends that she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Kimble; her son, J. B. Pete Kimble; her parents, John and Willie Duncan; her brother, Raymond Duncan; her brother-in-law, Floyd Kimble; her nephew, Troy Kimble; and her niece, Shirlene Kimble.
