Funeral services for Mary Bell Thomas, 86 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018, 2:00 P.M. in "The Chapel" of Lockstone Funeral Home with Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Mary was born March 25, 1932, in Cordell, Oklahoma to A.P. and Hilda Mary (Meyer) Schmidt and passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at home surrounded by her family in Weatherford. Mary was raised and attended school in Clinton, Oklahoma and graduated high school in 1950. On May 24, 1950, she married Beryl Thomas in Clovis, New Mexico. Mary was an active Air Force wife and moved with her husband to El Paso, Texas; Hadley, England; Lee Center, New York; Clinton, Oklahoma; Snyder, Oklahoma and settled in Weatherford in 1976. She served as President over Lottie Moon Circle for over 20 years. Mary enjoyed music, her church activities, volunteering in the Family Life Center, and spending time with family and friends. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Weatherford.

Mary is survived by three sons, Steven Thomas and wife, Tammy of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark Thomas and wife, Linda of Bethany, Oklahoma, and Clint Thomas and wife, Vilija of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Karen Harris of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one brother, Irvin Schmidt of Clinton, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Betty Jo Hill and husband, Jim of Clinton, Oklahoma and Joyce Manning of Las Cruces, New Mexico; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, LaVeta; and one daughter, Maryl.
