Mary Alice Thacker was born January 3, 1934, in Corn, to Jacob and Esther (Krewall) Koop and passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Mary was raised in Corn and graduated from Corn High School.  She married Tommie Joe Thacker and settled in Weatherford, where they raised their two sons. Mary was a homemaker and worked as a hairdresser for many years.  She enjoyed going to flea markets to search for antiques, baking and spending time with her grandchildren, family, friends and her brother, Joe.  She attended Trinity Baptist Church where she liked visiting with her friends.

Mary is survived by her son, Thomas Maverick and wife, Karen; daughter-in-law, Belinda Thacker; three sisters, Nancy Reynolds, Betty Wright and Flonnie Kitchens; four grandchildren, Amber Thacker-Jackson and husband, Chris, Angela Thacker, Austin Thacker and Jordan Thacker; four great-grandchildren, Kade Chinn, Hannah Chinn, Macy Bennett and Isabella Meats.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Bradley Thacker; and two brothers, Harold and Joe Koop.

Mary Thacker will be laid to rest in a private graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery.
