Martha Martinez Azpeitia was born December 14, 1944, in Guanajuato, Mexico to Jesus and Maria (De La Luz) Azpeitia and passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at home in Weatherford surrounded by her family, at the age of 73 years, 2 months, and 11 days.

Martha was raised and attended school in Mexico. She married Rigoberto Martinez in Mexico. They moved to Weatherford in 1994 to be near family. Martha enjoyed cooking and family get togethers, dancing, and plants. She was very social, loved being with other people and was a very happy person. Martha will be remembered as being a compassionate, merciful and a Christian woman. Memorials may be made to the First National Bank.

Martha is survived by her husband, Rigoberto Martinez of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; four sons, Saul Martinez of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Rigoberto Martinez of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Oscar Martinez of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Daniel Martinez of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three daughters, Maria Llamas of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Lucia Martinez of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Gabriela Martinez of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three brothers, Jesus Azpeitia, Gonzalo Azpeitia and Juan Azpeitia all of Mexico; five sisters, Altagracia Azpeitia, Guadalupe Azpeitia, Felicitas Azpeitia, Mariana Azpeitia and Epimenia Azpeitia all of Mexico; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Camerina; one brother, Leodegario; and one daughter, Gabriela.
