Maria Josefa (Elizondo) Harper was born on January 21, 1957, in O'Donnel, Texas, to Gabriel and Maria (Benevidas) Elizondo and passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton, at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 1 day.

Maria was raised and attended school in the Colony area. She married Wendell Harper in 1986 and in 1988 they made their home in Weatherford. Maria worked for 3M and then Imation for 28 years and at SWOSU for 9 years before retiring due to health reasons. Maria enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren, family time, going out to eat, and going to the casino.

Maria is survived by her husband, Wendell Harper of their home in Weatherford; two daughters, Janel Harper of Weatherford and Tamara and Casey Adams of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Daniel Elizondo of Weatherford, Gabriel Elizondo Jr. of West Virginia, Chris Elizondo of Corn, and Henarro Elizondo of Watonga; four sisters, Beatrice Elizondo of Hobart, Margaret Elizondo of Watonga, Rebecca Castrojan of Anadarko, and Joyce Elizondo of Clinton; a granddaughter, Khloe; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Grant; brother, Alfred; and sister, Erlinda.
