Lucille Bea Gall was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 13, 1955, to George D. and Violet Pearl (Griffin) Gall. She passed away at her home in Hydro, Oklahoma on September 3, 2026, at the age of 71.

Lucy was raised in the Baltimore area and attended school there. After high school, she enrolled at the University of Maryland, College Park. She later trained for the Olympic Volleyball Team in 1972, but never attended the Olympics after the terrorist attacks surrounding the event that year.

Lucy went to Culinary School Baltimore and spent many years as a sous chef.

Lucy didn't like to stay in one place for very long, she spent many years traveling up and down the East Coast and to different states, seeing what they had to offer. After several months, she would always come back "home". In 2008, Lucy had been staying in Arizona and decided it no longer served her. Her best friend, Loretta had recently moved to Amarillo and Lucy decided to join her and give the Lone Star State a try. In 2010, they moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma where Lucy worked as a deli manager in a grocery store. After awhile, the friends became homesick for the ocean. They moved again in 2014, first to Rhode Island and then up the coast to Provincetown in Cape Cod where they would spend the next 2 years.

Lucy made her final move to Oklahoma in 2016 and worked in food service at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, Oklahoma and Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She finally retired in 2022 and spent the next years living alongside Loretta in Hydro, Oklahoma.

Lucy loved animals, especially her cat, Tigger. She found joy in nature, and the ocean was her favorite. The whale sanctuary and amazing seafood were among the many things that drew her to live in the small, Portuguese fishing town of Provincetown. Lucy lived a full life and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters - Fay Duley, Marsha Fiedler and Debra Quelet.

Lucy is survived by her best friend of nearly 30 years, Loretta Dougherty; siblings, Alice Giesler, Sharon Cronin, George Gall, Bruce Gall and their spouses; 11 nieces and nephews; 7 grand-nieces and nephews; and her friend, Ruby Dempsey.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at St. Basil the Great Orthodox Mission with Father Nick Aiello officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Memorial donations can be made in Lucy's name to the American Heart Association.
