Funeral services for Lois Vi Vashti Grossarth, 91 year-old former Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017, 2:00 P.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Don Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Vi was born October 16, 1925, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to William Hugh and Frances Amanda (Davison) Blair and passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Vi was raised and attended school in Weatherford, Oklahoma. On December 10, 1941, she married Adam Jerry Grossarth in Weatherford. She worked as a telephone operator on the switchboard and in the early 1950s, Vi and Jerry operated Jerrys Grocery Store on 8th Street. In 1953, they moved to California and in 1961 they moved to Deming, New Mexico. Vi and Jerry returned to Oklahoma in 1976 and were a member of the pioneer family of Weatherford. Vi enjoyed making stuffed bears and spending time with family and friends. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Village in Okmulgee.

Vi is survived by one son, Gary Grossarth and wife, Barbara of Yukon, Oklahoma; one daughter, Michelle Brown and husband, Michael of Henryetta, Oklahoma; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
