Funeral services for Lima Jean Sharry, 92 year-old Eakly, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, May 23, 2016, 2:00 P.M. at the First Methodist Church in Eakly with Kay Williams and Bro. Houston Veal officiating. Burial will follow in the Eakly Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Lima was born December 13, 1923, north of Eakly, Oklahoma, and passed away Friday, May 20, 2016, at Corn Heritage Village of Corn, Oklahoma. Lima was raised in Eakly and attended school at Hopewell Country School and Eakly High School. She was the only child of six that graduated from high school, which she was very proud of. On June 26, 1943, Lima married Orby Lee Sharry in Cordell and made their home in the Colony and Eakly area. To this union was born six children. She was a lifelong member of the First Methodist Church in Eakly.

Lima and Orby farmed for more than 65 years together, raising their family with discipline and hard work. They also were able to travel many miles across many states together and she even went to Alaska, (too much water for Orby!)

She enjoyed being a homemaker, crocheting, and cooking. Lima was a member of the Eakly Home Demonstration Club for over 50 years and held several offices. She bowled with a special group of ladies for over 20 years. Lima enjoyed going to the ONE STOP and Cobb Creek Caf to have coffee and lunch with friends and family members. She loved the Lord and her church, but due to health issues, was unable to attend regularly. While she could, she enjoyed attending ballgames, not only of her childrens, but grandchildren and great-grandchildren, when her health would allow.

Lima is survived by her five children and their spouses: Danny and Linda Sharry of Eakly, Oklahoma, Larry Sharry of Fort Cobb Lake in Oklahoma, Margie and Butch Hamilton of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Lorene and Larry Mills of Binger-Gracemont area, and Corene Osborn of Anadarko, Oklahoma. She was blessed with fifteen loving grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orby; one son, Curtis Sharry; one granddaughter, McKyna Gracia; three sisters, Leatrice Little, Reva Sherburne, and Neta Hixon; and two brothers, Martin and Eldon Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the First Methodist Church of Eakly, Oklahoma, Eakly Community Center, or to the Eakly Volunteer Fire Department.
