Funeral service for Leroy Monroe Jackson, 77 year old Oakwood, Oklahoma resident will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Oakwood Auditorium in Oakwood with Brother Wesley Peterman officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas

Leroy Monroe Jackson was born on January 3, 1937 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Charles and Opal (Davis) Jackson and passed away on June 21, 2014 at Weatherford Living Center in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Leroy was raised and attended school in Oakwood, Oklahoma where he graduated from Oakwood High School. In August of 1959 he married Laura Sewell from Gunnison, Colorado. Leroy worked as a custom harvester for 68 years. Leroy was an active member of the United States Custom Harvesting Association. He enjoyed attending basketball games at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren.

Leroy is survived by one daughter, Paula and Laron Siemens of Chester, Oklahoma; one son Byron and Torrie Jackson of Thomas, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren, Brittany Jackson, Bryce Jackson, Brant Jackson, and Nathanael Morrison; and one great-grandchild, Madison Morrison. He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
