Lena Evelou (Lamb) Ledford was born January 31, 1929, near Carnegie to Ben Alonzo and Ida Mae (Lunsford) Lamb and passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at her home in Weatherford, at the age of 91 years, 11 months, and 29 days.

Evelou married Dayne Ledford October 6, 1945, in Anadarko.  They had three children, two daughters, Linda Lou and Gloria Jean, and one son, Jerry Dayne who passed away only two days after birth. Evelou was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always there for her family regardless of their needs. Evelou liked working and doing for others especially baking, working in the yard and anything Dayne needed for her to do.

Evelou accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was 10 years old and was baptized in the Cottonwood swimming hole.  She has been a member of the Baptist church the rest of her life.  Evelou loved church and people of all ages, race, especially babies and young people. Evelou and Dayne were married 68 years, 5 months and 16 days.

Evelou is survived by her daughter Gloria of Flower Mound, Texas, granddaughter Amber of Oklahoma City, two nieces, four nephews, and several cousins who she loved very much. Evelou was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Dayne, her son Jerry Dayne, her daughter Linda, baby brother Bennie, sister Gussie Smith, Brother Checker Lamb, and half-sister Arlene Repplinger.
