LaVonda Lee Wilson was born September 3, 1938, in Corn, Oklahoma to Sam and Anna (Schapansky) Schmidt and passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro. LaVonda was raised and attended school in Corn, Oklahoma. On April 12, 1958, she married Donald Branson and they made their home in Hydro, Oklahoma. Don and LaVonda had three children, Rhonda Ann, Troy Don and Chris Allen.

LaVonda married Carl Wilson November 16 ^th , 1992.

LaVonda worked at Owl Photo and the First National Bank of Weatherford for several years. Where she enjoyed meeting and talking to customers. She retired from the bank after many years working there. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Hydro and a member of the Red Hat Club in Weatherford. She enjoyed cooking, especially thin pancakes for breakfast for her kids, reading, square dancing, craft shows and spending time with and taking care of her grandkids.

LaVonda is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Runnels and husband, Dusty of Enid, Oklahoma; one son, Troy Branson and wife, Jana of Weatherford; One sister, Carolyn Balascoe and Noreen Byrne of Hudson, Ohio; Six grandchildren; Nikki Swaney and husband, Joe of Lindsay, Texas; Danielle Goodall and husband, Heath of Houston, Texas; Ryan Branson and wife, Moriah of Hobbs, New Mexico; Colby Branson and wife, Miranda of Weatherford, Oklahoma. Kyle Branson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Brice Branson of Oklahoma City. Seven great grandchildren; Reagan and Wes Swaney; Tucker and Abby Goodall; Melrose and Callahan Branson; Benson Branson. Several nieces and nephews.

LaVonda was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Chris Branson; one brother, Dale Schmidt; one sister, Elvina Beasley.
