Graveside services for Larry Wayne Smith, 74 year-old Clinton, Oklahoma resident will be held in the Sunset Memorial Park in Norman, Oklahoma with Richard Royal officiating under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Larry was born June 8, 1940 in Coalinga, California to Buster Durwood and Margaret Ann (Creech) Smith and passed away February 17, 2015. Larry was raised in Oxnard, California and graduated from Oxnard High School in 1958. He attended Junior College in Coalinga and transferred to The University of Oklahoma where he graduated in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He taught school for three years then started working on a ranch in Arnett, Oklahoma. In 1983-2003 he taught school in Fort Supply and Arnett, Oklahoma. He attended college at Northwestern Oklahoma State University at Alva, Oklahoma where he received his Master of Education Degree. He retired while living in Arnett, Oklahoma in 2003. In 2005 he moved to Clinton, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to Parkinsons Research.

Larry is survived by one son; Jeremy Wayne Smith and his wife Brenda of Texas, two daughters; Tori Leann Levine and her husband Steven of Irving, Texas, and Shelly DEsta Thompson and her husband James of Clinton, Oklahoma, one sister; Margaret Ann Wolf and husband Tom of Norman, Oklahoma, one niece; Melissa Chavis of Norman, Oklahoma, one nephew; Christopher Chavis and his wife Jamie of Brooklyn, New York; five grandchildren, and two great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
