Larry Clint Lee was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 23, 1937. He passed away in Hydro, Oklahoma on July 23, 2026 at the age of 89.

Larry was adopted at birth by Willard and Marvell (Rockhold) Lee from Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was raised alongside his sister, Willene, west of Bridgeport and attended elementary school there. In 1948, Larry was baptized in the Bridgeport Methodist Church. The family eventually moved to Hinton, where Larry attended junior high and high school, was active in FFA and helped on the family farm. He graduated with the class of 1954 at the age of 17. Since he was too young to enlist in the military, he spent a year working until he turned 18 and was old enough. Larry entered the Army Reserves and was active from 1955-1957, spending much of that time in Utah. 

Larry was introduced to Valeta Krehbiel, and they were married on May 31, 1958 in Hydro. The couple made their home between Hinton and Hydro in the Bethel Road Community. Together, they raised their 3 children - Monte, Chris and Lorna. When the boys were little, they took a family vacation to see the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. And later, after Lorna came along, the family spent many years attending the National Finals Rodeo. The NFR was in Oklahoma City during that time, and Larry would take them to as many sessions as possible. Of the many adventures he shared with his family, there was one particular vacation they spent snow skiing and Larry unexpectedly proved to be a natural on the slopes.

In 1960, Larry started working as a truck driver, a career he would continue for over 45 years. He hauled everything from rock and grain to cotton bales and seed. He also spent many trips hauling cattle down Highway 270 to Guymon, Oklahoma. One of the most memorable hauls was the pick up and delivery of the original horses for the beloved Carousel of the Hydro Free Fair. The group of men traveled to Craterville in a bobtail truck, disassembled, and hauled everything back to Hydro in two trips. Larry was very proud of his safe driving record, he had no incidents. 

Larry retired in 2006, but that did not mean he quit working. He filled his time doing some trucking, farming and was the best grain cart driver. He also enjoyed rodeos, going to his grandkids activities and visiting with his friends at Taylor-Doane Auto in Hinton. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Willene Smith-Slanaker; granddaughter, Audrey Lee; and two great-grandbabies.

Larry is survived by son, Monte Lee and wife, Cindy; son, Chris Lee and wife, LeElla; daughter, Lorna Lewis and husband, Larry; grandson, Cody Lee and wife, Heather; granddaughter, Cierra Hughes and husband, Joshua; granddaughter, Cheyenne Ostrum and husband, Cody; granddaughter, Laci Cain and husband, Bubba; great-grandchildren, Blakely and Decklyn Hughes, and their sibling on the way; and several nephews and cousins.

Larry also leaves behind his dear friends, Chris and Donna Lawles and their family who he became so close to over the years - Jason and Amber Lawles and their daughters, Bayli, Bentli and Blayke; and Kyle and Natalie Lawles and their sons, Mason and Maddox.
