Larry John Bailey was born July 4, 1951 in Watonga, Oklahoma to Peter and Dorothy (Souther) Bailey and passed away quietly in his sleep on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma having reached the age of 64 years and 27 days.

Larry John was raised west of Greenfield and attended school in Greenfield graduating from Greenfield High School in 1969. Larry attended college in Weatherford for one year. In l975 he married Susan Schaffler and they lived in the Watonga-Greenfield area. On November 11, 2011 he married his childhood friend, Janet Sisson in Watonga, Oklahoma. Larry was a farmer for most of his life. He also worked as a driller in the oil field and did carpentry work until the late 80s. Larry enjoyed hunting, traveling with his wife, driving fast cars, and especially making people laugh. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Larry John is survived by his wife, Janet Bailey of their home in Fay, Oklahoma, one son; Tyler Bailey and wife Taylor of Greenfield, Oklahoma, two daughters; Julie Hodgson of Thomas, Oklahoma and Elly Horton and husband Tommy of Fay, Oklahoma, four Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bill. Larry John was a lot of fun and will be missed by many.
