Lane Stuart Burchett was born October 16, 1939, to Lester Burchett and Elda  (Perkins)  Burchett  in  Seiling,  OK  and  passed  away  on  Wednesday,  December  18,  2019,  at  his  home  in  Thomas,  OK,  having reached the age of 80 years, 2 months and 2 days.

Lane  was  raised  south  of  Seiling  and  attended  Seiling  school,  graduating  from  Seiling  High  School  in  1957.  After  high  school,  he worked in the oil field. Lane served in the Air Force for 3 years, and served in Vietnam. In 2004, he married Nola Christensen and made their home in Thomas. He retired from the oil field in 2012. Lane  enjoyed  fishing,  cooking,  and  teaching  his  grandchildren  woodworking.  Memorials  may  be  made  to  the  American  Cancer  Society.

Lane is  survived  by  his  wife,  Nola  Hunt  Burchett  of  their  home  in  Thomas,  OK;  three  sons,  Greg  Burchett  and  his  wife  Doris  Burchett  of  Longdale,  OK,  Doug  Burchett  of  Yukon,  OK,  and  Terrel Burchett and his wife Cora of Marshall, TX; one daughter, Lori  Bouse  and  her  husband  James  of  Piedmont,  OK;  one  step-son,  Jay  Christensen;  one  step-daughter,  Julie  Glasscock;  two  brothers, Lyle Burchett of Oklahoma City, OK and Larry Burchett of Okarche, OK; four sisters, Mona Ruth Russell of Hooker, OK,  Nancy  Farrier  of  Stillwell,  OK,  Karen  Henline  of  Granbury,  TX,  and  Bethel  Classen  of  Wichita,  KS;  thirteen  grandchildren;  and  twenty-five  great-grandchildren.  He  was  preceded  in  death  by  his  parents;  his  son,  Danny;  infant  grandson;  infant  granddaughter;  and two brothers, Lowell and Lindy.
