Kristi Jo Hill was born on November 6, 1970 in Weatherford, Oklahoma, to Benny Joe and Jolando Gayle (Deeds) Hill and passed away on June 19, 2026 in Hydro, Oklahoma.

Kristi was raised in Weatherford, graduating from Weatherford High School in 1989. During high school she was active in band, playing the clarinet, singing in show choir, and playing as a forward on the basketball team. After high school, Kristi attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, majoring in English and minoring in journalism. She welcomed her son, Benjamin in 1992 and soon completed her education--earning a bachelor's degree in 1994.

One of her first jobs after college was working for the Weatherford Daily News where she worked as an editor for the lifestyles section for over seven years. She also worked as the Information Education Coordinator for Deer Creek Conservation District, a Patient Success Coordinator for TheraWest, as an associate at Skin Zen, and as an animal lover, she greatly enjoyed her time as a vet assistant for Dr. Cox at All Creatures Animal Hospital.

Kristi was a lifelong SWOSU athletics fan, she also enjoyed gardening, being in nature, traveling, especially to Silver Dollar City, cooking, and spending time with her family during the holidays, her favorite being the Fourth of July.

Kristi was preceded in death by her parents, Benny Joe and Jolando Hill. She is survived by her son, Ben Hill and wife, Morgan, and their son, James Bennett Hill, of Weatherford; three brothers, Kevin Hill and wife, Donna, of Amarillo, TX, Kelly Hill and wife, Tina, of Yukon, OK, and Kent Hill and wife, Kristy, of Murphy, TX.

A celebration of Kristi's life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Christ in Weatherford.
