Kristen Little Bird Dyson, loving wife and mother, was born April 16, 1971 and passed away April 7, 2017 in Moscow, Russia at age 45 from complications during her treatment to cure MS. Kristen was born to Sandra (Sudderth) and Forrest Douglas (Dutch) Little Bird, in Weatherford, OK. She was one of three children. Kristen was named by her uncle, Judge Alan Markum. Upon graduation from Weatherford High School, Kristen earned a BS at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she met her husband of 22 years, Bryan Dyson. They shared a wonderful marriage and their love for their son, Brayden, now at Baylor University, in Texas and daughter, Brooklynn, a sophomore at Casady School, in Oklahoma.

The past nine years Kristen spent much of her time serving as a volunteer at her childrens school. She was mostly dedicated to the store on campus called the Casady Cupboard where she worked and developed genuine relationships with the faculty, parents and children. She poured endless love, care and support into her Casady family.

Time after time she was praised as tough in the face of MS, a warrior in her struggle against illness. She was called The cool mom! She liked traveling, watching Leland from Dog the Bounty Hunter and listening to Harry Connick Jr. Many family and friends feel Kristen is now flying on angel wings toward the pain free life she so deserved.

Of all the memories, everyone knew the one bedrock for Kristen was her love for Brayden and Brooklynn. They were her greatest achievement and her proudest title was Mom.

Kristen is survived by husband, Bryan Dyson, son Brayden Dyson and daughter, Brooklynn Dyson, of Nichols Hills, OK. In Weatherford, OK her mother and father, Sandra and Dutch Little Bird and sister, Sherry Little Bird. Half-brothers, Dr. Forrest Little Bird and wife, LaLa and their children of San Antonio, TX and Anthony Little Bird of Dallas, TX. In Del Mar, CA, father-in-law, Bob and his wife Loraine Dyson. In Nichols Hills, OK, mother-in-law, Margaret and her husband Bob Mills. Aunts and uncles, Debi Edwards and husband, Chris of Healdton, OK, Loretta Steere and husband, Bob of Joplin, MO, Lorene Bishop of Weatherford, OK, Anthony Little Bird and wife, Laquita of Weatherford, OK, Janice Markum Nichols and husband, Don of Blanchard, OK, and Rebecca Leonard and husband, Steven of Weatherford, OK. Kristen was preceded in death by her brother, Shannon Little Bird; grandparents, Alfred and Lola Little Bird, Dortha King and husband, Chuck, and Bob Sudderth; aunts, Sherry Gee Sudderth and Wanda Leathers; and cousins, Brent Stanley, Keith Steere, and Joey Boyer.

A memorial service for Kristen Dyson will be held at 6 pm Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Casady School Chapel, 9500 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City, OK. Graveside services, in Weatherford, will be held privately. The family will receive friends Monday, April 17, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Lockstone Funeral Home, 210 N. Custer St., Weatherford, OK 73096.
