Karen Sue Ann Spain was born November 23, 1965, in Dumas, Texas to Kenneth Lee and Betty Pearl (Manuel) Smith and passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at home with her family, at the age of 52 years, 3 months, and 29 days.

Karen was raised and attended school in Dumas, Texas until the family moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1977 where she completed her education. On June 23, 1995, she married Steven Rolland Spain in Weatherford where they raised their blended family. Karen worked at the EZ Shop, Hinton Prison, and Schlumberger. Karen enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's activities, arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends. Her family will remember her as being very family oriented and was a great wrestling Mom going to all of their tournaments and duals. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to IBC Bank "You Caring" account in remembrance of Karen Spain.

Karen is survived by her husband of 22 years, Steven Spain of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; her mother, Betty Smith; three sons, Tyler Selman and wife, Janine of Bixby, Oklahoma, Kory Selman and wife, Jordan of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and James R. Spain and wife, Jamie of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one daughter, Renissa Roberts of Weatherford, Oklahoma; four brothers, Johnnie Smith and wife, Pat of Claude, Texas, Keith Smith of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Randy Smith and wife, Ronda of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Travis Smith and wife, Brandie of Weatherford, Oklahoma; parent-in-laws, Jim and Linda Kroeker; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Smith.
