A Celebration of life for Justin Hunter O'Connor, 39 year-old Fay, Oklahoma resident will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, 2:00 PM at His Hands Extended Church in Watonga, Oklahoma with Pastor Sharon Lee officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas.
Justin Hunter O'Connor was born on February 1, 1979 to Edward Louis O'Connor and Kathleen (Hunt) Barrette in St. George, Washington County, Utah and passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 north east of Thomas, OK. Justin was raised by his mother and grandmother, splitting his time between Panaca and Caliente, Nevada and Casper and Thermopolis, Wyoming. He graduated from Lincoln County High School in Panaca, NV and attended culinary school in Casper, Wyoming before getting his CDL and becoming a truck driver. While in Wyoming he was blessed with one son, Shawn. His career started with Weatherford International and he worked in Wyoming and North Dakota. He also worked as a bounty hunter and a licensed firearms instructor before moving to Fay in 2012 to live on his late father's farm near Fay, Oklahoma. He worked for Hamm and Phillips for 5 years before starting his own trucking and transport company, O'C Transport, where he worked alongside his fiancé and partner for the last year. Justin enjoyed shooting guns and survival prep and was an accomplished martial artist, mastering several forms including Aloe Kempe, American Martial Arts, and Tae Kwon Do. He enjoyed music and dancing and loved playing guitar with his son and listening to country music and dancing around the house with his children. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed kayaking.
Justin is survived by his fiancé, Catherin Clark of the home; two sons, Shawn O'Connor of Casper, Wyoming and a 10-month old son, Edward O'Connor of the home; two daughters, TonyaMay Clark and Irene O'Dell of the home; mother, Kathleen Barrette-Chittum of Seligman, Arizona; one brother, Jake Barrette of Thermopolis, Wyoming; and two sisters, Lisa Barrette of Seligman, Arizona and Theia Revolt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward O'Connor; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Howard Hunt.
