Funeral services for Julius Jay Eraine Lindemann, 83 year old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Hydro, Oklahoma with Brandon Blacksten officiating. Burial will follow in the Hinton Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Jay was born August 10, 1932 in Cogar, Oklahoma to Anna and William Lindemann and passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Jay was raised in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1948. He attended University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Jay served in the U.S. Navy during the Korea Conflict from 1954 to 1959. He married Carolyn Busse and they made their home in Tulsa. Jay was the manager of the Meat Market and then a meat salesman until 1979. In 1981, he was a permit agent until he retired. On December 5, 1979, he married Reina Wolfe in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and they made their home at Foss Lake and moved to Weatherford in 2007. Jay enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Hydro.

Jay is survived by his wife, Reina Lindemann of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; two sons, Dennis Lindemann and wife, Paula of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Tony Lindemann and wife, Debbie of Ponca City, Oklahoma; step-children, Brian Benedict and wife, Anna of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Diane Hacker and husband, Larry of Colony, Oklahoma, and Mark Benedict of Lubbock, Oklahoma; one sister, Elaine Ogles and husband, Danny of Elk City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.
