Judy Lynne Majors was born March 1, 1947 in Thomas to Dr. Raymond and Dr. Verda (Sisson) McKellips and passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City, at the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 22 days.
Judy attended public schools in Greenfield, Weatherford and Stillwater until her sophomore year in which her parents returned to Weatherford to teach at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Judy was a member of the 1965 graduating class of Weatherford High School.
While attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University she met Steve C. Majors of Hydro and were married July 1, 1966. They were blessed with a blond hair, blue eyed baby girl, Stacy, and later a brown hair, blue eyed boy, Steven Jr. She and Steve lived in Texas for over 50 years, most recently in Abilene, Texas. She worked in the healthcare industry and was the office manager for a major hospital clinic in Abilene.
Judy and Steve traveled the world to see new and exciting places such as Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Greece, China, Vietnam, and Singapore. One of her greatest loves was to go camping in her and Steve's 5 th wheel camper with friends. Trips were made to numerous states and Canada as well as local state parks in Oklahoma and Texas. Judy loved to cook for family and friends, play cards, spoil her grandchildren, and meet new people.
Judy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Steve of their home in Weatherford; daughter, Stacy Lynne Scribner and husband, Patrick of Midland, Texas; son, Steven C. Majors Jr and Bianca Schroetlin of Loveland, Colorado; grandson, Dayton Deatherage and Sydney Williams of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Sage Majors Diaz and husband, Carson of Tacoma, Washington; grandson, Caz Quain and Daleesa Brown of Midland, Texas; grandson, Rowen Sky Majors of Loveland, Colorado; brother, Roger McKellips and wife, Julie of Mustang; and two great-granddaughters, Lyla Quain of Midland, Texas and Brynne Deatherage of Austin, Texas.
