Mass of Christian Burial for Joyce Maxine Heger, 85 year-old Hydro, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, July 7, 2014, 10:00 A.M. at St. Eugene Catholic Church with Father Swamy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Joyce was born April 6, 1929, south of Hydro, Oklahoma, to Joel and Pauline (Reynolds) Stover and passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, at Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro, Oklahoma. Joyce was raised south of Hydro where she attended school at Foss Rural School and graduated from Hydro High School in 1947. On January 5, 1945, she married Robert Bob Heger in Hydro and made their home south of Hydro. Joyce worked alongside her husband on the family farm until 1987 when she moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma. She was active in the Ladies Guild, Early Risers Bowling League, Hydro Ladies Rook Club, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered with the meal delivery at the Pioneer Center. Joyce enjoyed her church activities, bowling, reading, and spending time with her friends, family, and grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her son, Daryl Heger and wife, Becky of Hydro, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Mindy Morton and husband, Jeff of Hammon, Oklahoma, Raquel Mings and husband, Greg of Norman, Oklahoma, and Jacob Heger and wife, Rita of Springs, Texas; and six great-grandchildren, Abigail and Meghan Morton, Ryan, Kelsey, and Kyle Mings, and Jayson Heger. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jerry Heger; and one grandson, Eric Heger.
