Joyce Marie (Luekenga) Hixon Bradley was born October 14, 1924 in Colony, Oklahoma to Henry and Agnes (Rhoads) Luekenga and passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Corn Heritage of Corn, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years, 7 months, and 22 days.

Joyce was raised east of Colony, Oklahoma where she attended school at Ghost Mound Rural and Colony Schools. On January 20, 1942, she married Verl Hixon in Cordell, Oklahoma and made their home in the Colony and Eakly areas. Joyce worked alongside her husband on their family farm and also worked at Owl Photo and later for 3-M for 13 years. On December 20, 1989, she married Martin Bradley in Anadarko, Oklahoma and they made their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Joyce enjoyed quilting, playing cards, fishing, and going to her grandchildrens and great-grandchildrens activities. Memorials may be made to the Eakly First Baptist Youth Fund.

Joyce is survived by one son, Larry Hixon and wife, Doris of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Sharon Scales of Eakly, Oklahoma and Verlene Burchfield of Colony, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two brothers, Harold and Gerald; and one son-in-law, Duke Scales.
