Joni Lee Yoder, 48, of Loogootee, formerly of Thomas, Oklahoma, went to be with Jesus at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born January 3, 1968 in Thomas, Oklahoma to the late Melvin and Fannie (Miller) Yoder.

Joni attended Living Waters Church where he was the Sunday morning greeter. He was loved by all and family time was very important. He loved Sunday lunches, going on vacations and camping. He enjoyed driving his golf cart and mowing the yard. His chickens were his utmost delight. He had always had a helping hand and treasured helping others. He loved to attend his great nieces and nephews ball games and was their biggest fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Fannie (Miller) Yoder.

Joni is survived by his siblings, Clete (Joy) Yoder of Loogootee, Carolyn (Bobby) Ervin and Amos (Rhoda) Yoder, both of Thomas, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Angela (Merle) Wagler, Justin (Samantha) Yoder, Kim Yoder, Joni (Rob) Ryan, Bradley (Wendy) Yoder, Delton (Trina) Yoder, Dianne (Brian) Lohman, Felisha (Aaron) Brown, Chandra Yoder and Sierra Yoder; 9 great-nieces and 11 great-nephews.
