J.B. Conner was born February 25, 1926, in Granite to Millard and Bessie (Huffer) Conner and passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at his home in Thomas, at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 21 days.

J.B. was raised in the Oakwood area and attended Fay Schools. He was drafted and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, returning to graduate high school. After high school he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and later attended Oklahoma State University, where he completed his degree in engineering. He began working at Beech Aircraft in Wichita Falls, KS. He returned home every weekend to help with family farming. Upon his retirement he moved back to Oakwood. J.B. enjoyed OSU football and taking care of the family.

J.B. was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George and Bob Conner; and one sister, Anna.
