Funeral services for John Thurman Johnny Colberg, 64 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Johnny was born June 15, 1947, in Clifton, Texas to Virgil Oren and Dorothy Lee Sissy (Thurman) Colberg and passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at his home in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Johnny was raised in Dallas, Texas until the age of 5 when the family moved to Hobart, Oklahoma where he graduated from Hobart High School in 1967. In high school he was active in Ag, wrestling, and boy scouts. Johnny attended Panhandle State University for 2 years. On June 6, 1969, he married Beth Kight in Ft. Worth, Texas and made their home in Hobart where he worked in carpet and flooring. They moved to Weatherford in 1980 where he worked in the oilfield and later for Cummins Dodge when he retired 2012. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outside, and was an Oklahoma and WWII history buff.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beth Colberg of their home; and one son, Shane Colberg and wife, Brenda all of Weatherford, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents.
