Memorial services for Joel Robert Johnson, 55 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident will be held at Fellowship Bible Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.

Joel was born to Leonard and Bettye Johnson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on October 28, 1957 and passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Joel was raised and attended school in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He served our country in the United States Navy, where he began his engineering profession. After being discharged in 1987, he returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he continued studies in engineering. He was currently employed as a Project Lead for Conoco Phillips in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Joel married Stacy Roberson on May 25, 1990, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they made their home until relocating to Weatherford in April 2012. Joel enjoyed fishing, boating on Lake Eufaula and playing with his grandchildren and pets. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Joel is survived by his wife, Stacy Johnson of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; one daughter, Tiffany Boes and husband, Matthew of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Alexis and Ethan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
