Joe "the snake" Taylor was born July 13, 1955, in Bakersfield, California to Charles Woodrow and Darlene V. (Self) Taylor and passed away Thursday, July 23, 2018 at Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon, Oklahoma, at the age of 63 years and 10 days.

Joe was raised and attended school in Eakly and Hinton and graduated from Eakly High School in 1973. He moved to Weatherford to make his home in the early 1980's. In 2010, he moved to Yukon. Joe enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, especially rock and roll, collecting memorabilia, current events and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his positive personality and as a great uncle.

Joe is survived by one sister, Linda Gather of Yukon, Oklahoma; two nephews; one niece; and many nieces, nephews, and great-great nephews and many cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, Texas.
