Jo Ann Pasby was born May 10, 1934, in Strong City, Oklahoma to Sidney and Mildred (Tomberlin) Cogburn and passed away Monday, July 29, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, having reached the age of 85 years, 2 months, and 19 days.

Jo Ann was raised on the family dairy farm, southeast of Strong City. She attended school in the Strong City and Cheyenne, where she graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1953. On March 14, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, Jimmie Pasby of Cheyenne. They made their home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Jimmie and Jo Ann lived in Shattuck, Woodward, Pryor, Sapulpa, and Clinton where they raised their four children, Debbie, Cindy, Keith and Mike. They retired and moved to Oklahoma City in 2008. Jo Ann enjoyed golfing, sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, puzzles, going to the grandchildren's activities, and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her endless supply of Peanut Butter Rice Krispy treats with butterscotch chocolate icing. Memorials may be made to the OMRF – Dementia Research.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Jimmie Pasby of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sons, Keith Pasby and wife, Teresa of Tyler, Texas and Mike Pasby and wife, Kim of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma; two daughters, Debbie Gossman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Cindy Lockstone and husband, Marty of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two brothers, Charles Cogburn and wife, Mary Alice and Roy Cogburn and wife, Linda all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one sister, Betty Carl and husband, Jerry of Las Cruces, New Mexico; fifteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
