Jimmy Charles Scott was born April 17, 1945, in Colony to Delmar Claude and Virginia Loraine (Cosper) Scott and passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 16 days.

Jimmy was raised and attended school in Colony, graduating with the Class of 1963.  He worked as a bulldozer operator.  On July 1, 1966, he married Janice Luekenga at Fairview Country Church.  In 1967, they moved to Oklahoma City where he worked as a bulldozer operator and mechanic for several years and later had a tire shop.  Jimmy and his family moved to the Gracemont area in 1998 where he did dozer work as well.  Jimmy became a salesman for Green Energy Service, retiring in 2013.  He was a deacon and worked with the Royal Ambassadors program at South Lindsey Baptist Church. He also participated with the Fisher's of Men Bass Club.  Jimmy enjoyed bass fishing, fishing tournaments, going to coffee shop to visit with his friends, and spending time with family.  Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in his name.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice Scott of their home in Weatherford; two sons, Jimmy Tod Scott and wife, Elizabeth of Hoxie, Arkansas and Devin Charles Scott and wife, Tomara Wright of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Torri Lyn Mays and husband, Curtis Ray of Oklahoma City; one sister, Kay Woods and husband, Keith of Weatherford; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Darrel Lynn and Larry Joe "Shorty".
