Jerry Bleacher Brunk, Sr. was born on May 14, 1938 in Braithwaite, Oklahoma to Walter and Bessie (Gilland) Brunk and passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012, at his home in Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years and 4 days.

Jerry was raised in Cordell and attended schools there. He was baptized at age 10 at the First Baptist Church in Cordell. Jerry was a farmer and an auto mechanic along with other careers. He married and had 7 children making his home around the Cordell, Seiling, and Clinton area. He lived life to the fullest. Jerry enjoyed farming and cattle and camping.

Jerry is survived by five sons, Junior Brunk and wife Vicki of Blum, Texas, Sam Starkey and wife Janie of Dumas, Texas, Roger Whitacre and wife Jesy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rev. Stevon Brunk and wife Stara of Palmer, Texas, Jeff Brunk and wife Patti of Clinton, Oklahoma, two daughters, Sharon Juarez and husband Richard of Amarillo, TX and Tammy Fuller and husband Glenn Jr. of Clinton, Oklahoma, one sister Aletha Mae Clark, Seiling, Oklahoma, thirteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Walter Jr. and Bill, and one infant sister.
