Funeral: 2:00 PM Thursday, October 16th, 2014"The Chapel" of Lockstone Funeral Home

Funeral services for Jerry Leon Redd, 75 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014, 2:00 P.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Earl Stephenson officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Jerry was born February 12, 1939, in Elk City, Oklahoma to Jay and Pauline (Cook) Redd and The Gentle Giant went to his Heavenly home Tuesday, October 14, 2014, surrounded by his family, at home in Weatherford. Jerry was raised and attended school in Elk City, Oklahoma and graduated from Elk City High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963. Jerry returned to Elk City and moved to Albuquerque in 1971 where he worked for Ford Credit. On June 28, 1975, he married Inez Perales in Elk City and made their home in Albuquerque. In 1982, they moved to Weatherford where Jerry worked at Zoeller-Davidson as a finance manger for 25 years before retiring in 2006. Jerry enjoyed working in the yard, traveling, watching football, and spending time with his family. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Food Pantry.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Inez Redd of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; his daughter, Tana Jo Greene and husband, Jerome of Elk City, Oklahoma; step-daughter, Wanda Darlene Drennan-Heideman and husband, Gene of Ruidoso, New Mexico; step-son, Ernie Drennan of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one brother, Troy Redd and wife, Barbara of Elk City, Oklahoma; one sister, Sue Hutson and husband, Bert of Elk City, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Terry Redd.
