Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Hargis, 83 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at Life Fellowship Church with Charles Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Jerry was born March 5, 1933, in Seminole, Oklahoma to James and Dorothy (Jackson) Hargis and passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Corn Heritage Village of Corn, Oklahoma. Jerry was raised and attended school in the Oklahoma City area. He received a degree from Oklahoma State University. Jerry enlisted in the Air Force, serving his country for 29 years during the Vietnam War. On January 5, 1999, he married Wanda Marshall and they made their home in Weatherford. Jerry enjoyed fishing, attending church activities, spending time with family and friends, and telling military and family stories. Memorials may be made to Corn Heritage Village.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 18 years, Wanda Hargis of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; three daughters, Veronika Hargis of Palo Alto, California, Tasha Bell and husband, OBrian of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Adrianne Marshall of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one son, Andre Marshall, M.D. of Durnham, North Carolina; two brothers, James Hargis and wife, Patti of Edmond, Oklahoma and Jon Hargis and friend, Shelli Michaels of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and one sister, Kim Ellis and husband, Chuck of Houston, Texas; one sister-in-law, Susan Hargis of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; six nieces and nephews, Mitch and Leigh Hargis, Ian Hargis, Ashley and Brian Smith, Allison and John Willand, Nicholas Hargis, and Cassie Deford; and two dear friends, John and Tina Becker. He was preceded in death by his parents.
