Jerry Don
Dean
January 23, 1957 – May 23, 2019
Jerry Don Dean was born on January 23, 1957 in Clinton, Oklahoma to O.D. and Vesta "Tina" (Walker) Dean and passed away on May 23, 2019 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 62 years.
Jerry was raised in Putnam and attended school in Putnam and Clinton. After high school he moved to Chicago where he worked as a bouncer and enjoyed riding motorcycles. After a serious motorcycle wreck, he returned to Oklahoma. His father passed away shortly after returning home and Jerry stayed in Oklahoma to take care of his mother and help on the family farm. Over the years he worked as a bouncer, a truck driver, and installing tires, and later worked as a CNA in area nursing homes. Jerry loved spending time with his family, especially his children. While he was a big guy, he was also a very kind and caring person. He was a very special person with a great sense of humor. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, but his family remarks that "he would sell his favorite gun in an instant to make sure his children had the shoes and supplies they needed for school."
Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra Dee Dean of the home in Putnam; one daughter, Deona Rolen and husband Derek of Butler, OK; one son, James Gregory Hill of Lawton, OK; and three grandchildren, Ethan Elijah Iiams, Preston Zane Rolen, and Skyler Ray Rolen.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, O.D. and Vesta Dean; and one brother, Jimmy Dale Dean
