Dear Relatives and Friends-
Jean Burns Kroll Sikes has left this place for her home on high in heaven on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 3 days. She was born in Dover, OK. to Glenn D. and Elsie (Shatto) Burns on December 21, 1927, delivered by her grandmother, Alice Burns. She attended Dover public schools graduating in 1946. She worked in the Kingfisher area and was married to Lawrence G Kroll on April 18, 1948. They were in the funeral business until his death February 27, 1987. They lived in Texas and Oklahoma all their married life mostly in Weatherford, OK. where they worked for Lockstone Funeral Home. After his death, she married Paul Sikes of Libby, Montana which ended in divorce in 1995. Jane continued to live in Yukon, OK. and worked in the Oklahoma City area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mustang. Jean also was a licensed funeral director and owned the Kroll Funeral Directors Service of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Jean is survived by her two daughters, Jeanna Wood and her husband Ray Wood of Flower Mound, TX. and Jan Johnson and her husband Danny Johnson of Rio Rancho, NM.; three grandsons, Jason and Nisa Wood of Ft Polk, Louisiana and Noah and Bobby Johnson of Rio Rancho, NM.: four great-grandchildren of Ft. Polk, Louisiana, Connor, Kelsey, Shelby, and Kaitlyn; as well as five nephews and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; as well as her brothers, Raymond P. Burns of Belton, MO., his wife, Viola; Phil Burns of Kingfisher, Ok his wife, Dorothy; also, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jasper and Leota Kroll of Enid, Ok and her brother-in-law, Elmer Ogle of Talihina, OK.
Jean moved to Lewisville, TX. in September 2015 to be near her daughter and had to quit driving due to her ill health. She resided at Lake Village Nursing Home from May 2018 until her death, September 24, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association.
