Jay Bryan
Elliott
March 27, 1966 – July 6, 2020
Jay Bryan Elliott was born March 27, 1966, in Farmington, New Mexico, to John and Carolyn (Love) Elliott and passed away, Monday, July 6, 2020, at Carnegie Tri-County Municipal Hospital, at the age of 54, years, 3 months and 9 days.
Jay has one sibling, Nathan Elliott. Jay's Dad was in the oil field, so the family moved a lot during his childhood. They moved to Woodward, in his late elementary years and stayed until Jay graduated from High School. In High School Jay was active in weight lifting, drama, FCA, First Baptist Church youth group, and he was manager of the football team. After High School, Jay moved to Weatherford and enrolled in classes at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. On February 11, 2003, he married Toni Lucas. On January 5, 2005 their twin daughters, Alexis and Abigail Grace, were born in Tulsa. Jay owned many businesses throughout his life, and had many talents and abilities. He could build a house from the bottom up, and could build a car from scratch. More importantly Jay was most known for his ability to connect to people through laughter, his singing, or assisting them with home or car repairs. He loved helping others and teaching both adults and kids new things. Jay spent years doing mission work with Teen Challenge of Oklahoma and Assembly of God's Disability Ministries. At Teen Challenge he was nick named "the buffer," because he could calm any male who was out of control. He could sit for hours telling stories of funny things that happened to him during his adventures. However, his very favorite thing to do was to spend time with his 15-year-old twin daughters, Alexis and Abigail Grace. He loved his daughters so much and would tell anyone that would listen all about them. Jay was well known for his humor, kindness, acts of service, singing, love of his daughters, and a heart for Christ.
Jay is survived by his mother, Carolyn Elliott of Corn; twin daughters, Alexis and Abigail Grace Elliott of Cashion; and one brother, Nathan Elliott and wife, Terri of McAlester. He was preceded in death by his father, John.
