Janice Erline West was born to Glen and Lillie (Gernentz) Wood on March 15, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 in Tulsa, OK having reached the age of 68 years, 8 months and 18 days.

Janice was raised in Oklahoma and Kansas. She attended school in Muskogee and Thomas graduating at Thomas High School in 1966. Janice married James Allen West in December of 1967 in Thomas, OK. In 1967 Jim join the United State Air Force. They made their home in Amarillo, Texas and Frankfort, Germany from 1968 to 1970 and Blytheville, Arkansas from 1970 to 1971. Janice earned her Master Degree Education, where she taught for 30 years. She taught special education in Thomas from 1971 to 1984, and piano lessons, when she moved to Tulsa. While living in Tulsa, Janice worked for Oklahoma Department of Education as a traveling psychometrist. Later she worked for Magistrate Wagoner of Tulsa as the leading compliance officer overseeing the shutdown of Hissom Memorial Center. While at Liberty Church as their childrens minister, she began doing missionary work, and traveled to Africa, Taiwan, Belize and Ukraine. Janice was very dedicated to her Missionary work. She enjoyed quilting, making clothing, and cake decorating, helping children and spending time with her family.

She is survived by 1 son, Alen West of Skiatook, OK; 1 daughter, Jeanna (Jj) Williamson and her husband, Chad of Skiatook, OK; 5 grandchildren, Chad Arbuckle, Alyssa Arbuckle, Kaycee Williamson, Heidi Williamson, Brittan Williamson; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Roger Wood of Hartshorne, OK; 1 sister, Jurhee Hart and her husband, Mike of Owasso, OK. She was a mother and granny to many others. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Lillie Wood.
