Janice Elizabeth
Fisher
September 11, 1938 – August 24, 2025
Janice Elizabeth (Raff) Fisher, an 86-year-old Thomas resident, was born to Irvin Larson and Bessie Louise (Haggard) Raff on September 11, 1938, and entered her heavenly home on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in Weatherford.
Janice was raised in Independence where her parents owned the famous Sunset Station. They lived in a small house located behind the station. She graduated from Custer City High with the class of 1957. Janice met the love of her life Roy, through a friend, Junior Christensen, in high school. After graduation she and Roy married on November 10, 1959, in Custer City. They settled in Thomas, where they operated a dairy farm for 26 years and Janice stayed home with their five children: Beth, Alan, Wayne, Jamie and Troy.
Janice liked reading and completing word search puzzles. She loved baking for her family during the holidays, and her Christmas breads and desserts are missed by the family. She often called out "Roooooy Leeee!" when her husband was being ornery and leaving things out of place.
Janice is survived by her three sons: Alan Fisher and wife, Tracey, Jamie Fisher and wife, Debra, and Troy Fisher of Thomas. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee; her parents, Irvin and Bessie; one daughter, Beth; one son, Wayne; two granddaughters, Kayla and Nicole; one grandson, John; one great grandson, Colton.
