Jane Joy Purdum was born October 15, 1932, in Miami, OK to Leon "Beedey" and Leona (Gamble) Bedell and passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro, OK, at the age of 89 years and 19 days.

Jane was raised and attended school in Miami, OK and graduated from Miami High School in 1951.  Jane attended NEO A & M College for 2 years.  On May 9, 1954, she married Jerry Robert Purdum in Miami where they made their home.  They moved to Oklahoma City in 1965 where they remained.  Jane enjoyed reading, attending Al-Anon and playing bridge.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd Home Health Care and Hospice, 525 S. 30 ^th St., Clinton, OK 73601.

Jane is survived by three sons, Steven Gregory Purdum and wife, Debbie of Fayette, MO, Michael Allen Purdum and wife, Debra of Weatherford and Jeffrey Robert Purdum of Arlington, TX; twelve grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her brother.
