Jamie Renee Tanner, loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend went to be with our Lord and sing in his heavenly choir on September 14th, 2025.

Jim and Charlene Tanner brought their only daughter into the world on November 3rd, 1979 in Weatherford, OK. Jamie was the youngest of three with two brothers Vern and Robert Tanner but didn't let them slow her down, and they knew who the real boss of the house was. Jamie was kind hearted, sincere, and loved the Lord. While she had no biological children, she was a caring mother to her three dogs Harlie, Chance, and Sugar Cookie.

Jamie was proud to be a lifelong Weatherford resident. She attended Weatherford Public Schools and later attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. After university, Jamie earned her CNA/ CMA and loved working with her patients at Weatherford Hospital. She also worked at Hydro Manor nursing home.

This songbird started her hobby of singing at the young age of four. She was an avid singer along with her father at church. For a time, Jamie enjoyed leading praise and worship at the Straight Path Cowboy church that was held in her brother Robert's Autobody shop. She also sang at many music shows like the Clinton Jamboree and Backwoods Country Music show as well as singing at funerals and weddings. Some of Jamie's favorite songs to sing were in the genres of country and gospel.

Jamie was preceded in death by her brother Vern. She is survived by her parents Jim and Charlene Tanner; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and April Tanner; nephews Dayton Tanner and his wife, Danielle; Jacoby Tanner and his wife, Sarah; Kevin Carter, and Jarrett Tanner; and nieces Jahven Tanner and Sunny Colston. She is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, and close friends.
