Funeral services for James Darin Deffenbaugh, 46 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Lynn Brock and Randy Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Darin was born in Weatherford, Oklahoma on January 31, 1971, to Bob James and Connie Florene (McDonald) Deffenbaugh and passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, in Washita County. He attended Weatherford Public Schools until the middle of his senior year and he transferred to Hydro Public Schools graduating in May of 1989. During school he participated in FFA, showing cattle and sheep, and playing soccer in high school. After high school he trained to be CLEET Certified and worked as a security officer. Then later on in life he worked in the oilfield. For the last couple of years he has worked as the maintenance man for the Fairfield Inn and the Comfort Inn. In November of 1994, Darin married Carrie Ann Sylvester and then later divorced in 2011.
Darin is survived by his mother, Connie (McDonald) Deffenbaugh; one son, Jarin Deffenbaugh of Hydro, Oklahoma; four daughters, Ashley Deffenbaugh and fianc, Joe Nelson of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Lacy Deffenbaugh and fianc, Kyle Ramey of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Breannah Deffenbaugh and fianc, Cody Avritt of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and RaeLynn Deffenbaugh of Alfalfa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Tim Deffenbaugh and wife, Lorie of Clinton, Oklahoma and Chris Deffenbaugh and wife, Jamai of Corn, Oklahoma; one sister, Shelly Deffenbaugh of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren, Kreyson, Raeah, Meeah, Copon, and Aubrey. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob and both sets of grandparents, Ted and Irene McDonald and George and Pauline Deffenbaugh.
The family request memorials may be made to the Multi County Youth Services at 1416 Avant in Clinton, Oklahoma.
