Jackie Ray Kurtz was born November 8, 1952, in Geary to Jack and Alene (Henke) Kurtz and passed away at home Sunday, March 22, 2020, in Weatherford, at the age of 67 years, 4 months, and 14 days.
Jackie was raised and attended school in Geary, graduating with the Class of 1971. He earned a Bachelor Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1975. On August 17, 1973, Jackie married Dana Boyer in Geary and made their home in Weatherford. He owned and operated Kwik Korner from 1978 to 1992. Jackie worked at Century 21 and in 1997, he and his mother Alene opened Kurtz Real Estate and retired in 2012. He was a member and a Deacon of the Church of Christ, Board of Realtors, and on the Greens Committee. Jackie enjoyed playing golf, traveling, WWII History, reading, classic cars (his SS 454), his church family, and family time and activities with his children and grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute at Baptist Hospital.
Jackie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dana Kurtz of their home in Weatherford; one son, Dustin Kurtz and wife, Ashley of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Lindsey Robinson and husband, Jacob of Weatherford; and three grandchildren, Lennis Jane Robinson, Cameron Austin and Brady Jack Kurtz. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mickey Dean Kurtz.
