Jack Wave Dickey was born August 19, 1938, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Joseph Oatman and Neoma (Ruddell) Dickey and passed away August 24. 2015, at his home in Weatherford, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years, 5 days.

Memorial services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Weatherford, Oklahoma, Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Lynn Brack officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Lockstone Funeral Home in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Jack was raised and attended school in Weatherford and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1956. He went on to attend Oklahoma A&M, currently Oklahoma State University, and graduated in 1960, where he served as President of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He attended and graduated from the University of Oklahoma Law School in 1963. On July 1, 1961, he married the love of his life, Katherine Foreman. They made their home in Oklahoma City where Jack began his banking career working for Fidelity National Bank as a loan officer from 1963 to 1969. In 1969, Jack and two of his brothers, David and Donald, bought the bank in Custer City, Oklahoma. Jack served as President and Chairman of the Board of Southwest National Bank (formerly known as First National Bank) in Custer City, Weatherford and Mustang and First National Bank of Thomas, Oklahoma. For years, Jack was extremely active in the IBAA (a national community banking advocacy trade group) where he served in numerous leadership positions.

Jack was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Jack loved to travel with his wife, as they went on wonderful adventures and made many life long friends. He loved working in his yard and reading. He was an amazing father, grandfather and friend. He had a gift for making everyone he met feel so important and good about themselves.

Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Katherine Dickey; two sons, Jack Dickey Jr. and Phillip Dickey and wife, Leslie; one daughter, Debbie Janzen and husband, Jim all of Weatherford, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Kasey Whitson, and husband Brock, Keirra Dickey, Katie Dickey, Travis Dickey, April and husband Scotty Holland and Jeff Janzen and wife Caroline; five great-grandchildren, Knox Whitson, Taylor Holland, S.J. Holland, Graham Janzen and Garrett Janzen; one sister, Betty Lamirand of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, J.O. Jr., Donald, Glenn and David.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church, Weatherford, Oklahoma. The funds will be used to feed Weatherfords hungry children and their families.
