Ivan Kenneth Harrall was born on October 18, 1930 at the home northwest of Weatherford, OK to George and Julia (Simkins) Harrall and passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Weatherford Regional Hospital having reached the age of 89 years, 2 months and 13 days.
Ivan started to school at Pleasant Hill where he attended for 2 years then he went to Custer City until his sophomore year. He then transferred to Weatherford high school, where he graduated in 1948. At 16 years of age, Ivan started working with his dad's custom harvest crew traveling up though North and South Dakota until 1950. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1951. He was stationed in Arkansas, Georgia, Washington DC, Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey and Ft. Mead, Maryland. He was honorably discharged in 1953. He began his own custom harvesting crew and cut all the way to Canada. Ivan married Jaunita Audine Mogan on June 11, 1952. When Ivan was not on harvest, he drove his truck hauling farm commodities. In 1957, Ivan started his own grocery store, Sureway Grocery in Weatherford, OK which continued until 1970. Along with grocery he started a feed lot and meat processing. In 1970, Ivan built a new meat processing plant, Harrall Meats, and continued his business until 1977 when it sold. Ivan and a close friend Shane O'Daniel started a custom hay baling service and was active till his health declined. He still enjoyed going to the field and watching.
He is survived by his wife Jaunita of the home in Weatherford, OK; 1 daughter, Kay Coltharp and her husband, John of Stephenville, TX; 2 sisters, Carol Greene and her husband, Jack of Oklahoma City, OK and Dollie Werner of Salina, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Julia; 2 brothers, Cecil and a 1 in fancy; and a grandson, Caden Coltharp.
