Memorial services for Ina Mae Shantz, 98 year-old Thomas, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, July 29, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church with Jeff Selzer and Charles Rickel officiating, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.

Ina was born October 26, 1914 in Custer County, Oklahoma to Jesse Melvin and Elizabeth Ann (Davis) Shantz and passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at Corn Heritage Village of Weatherford. Ina was raised in the Pleasant View area and attended Swan Rural School. She earned a Bachelor degree from Southwestern State College. Ina lived in Tulsa where she worked at Hillcrest Hospital for 15 years. She returned to the Pleasant View area in 1980 to care for her mother. Ina enjoyed gardening, flowers, ceramics, and knitting. Memorials may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.

Ina is survived by one brother, Marvin Shantz and wife, Norma of Thomas, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Shantz of Thomas, Oklahoma; five nieces; three nephews; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Melvin Shantz; and one sister, Grace Alice Shantz.
