Obituary

Helen Jean Graybill was born on July 17, 1941 to Alva Hughie and Veris Pauline (Hammontree) Albright in Bakersfield, CA and passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 17 days.

Helen was raised in Mountain View, CA where she graduated high school in 1959. Her father worked in construction and the family lived in various places in California. On December 27, 1959 she married James Duwayne Graybill Sr. in Palo Alto, CA and they made their home in Santa Clara, CA. In 1972 they moved to Rocklin, CA and lived in several other communities in north California. In 1977, Helen and Duwayne moved to Weatherford where she was a homemaker and raised their family. Helen was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed spending time with friends and family—especially attending her grandchildren's sports events. She was also a master gardener and spent much of her time gardening and crafting. She loved to cook and bake for her family and she was great at it. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Helen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Duwayne Graybill of their home in Weatherford, OK; three sons, Dave Graybill and wife, Stacey of Ridge Crest, CA, Don Graybill and wife, Lisa of Boerne, TX, and Jim Graybill and wife, Cindi of Weatherford, OK; nine grandchildren, Brittany and fiancée Jeb, Storm, Jared, Trey and Courtney, Jada, Seth, Cody and Ashley; and five great-grandchildren, Valin, Joaquin, Hudson, Hadley, and Sawyer. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law; one sister, Bernice; and one grandson, Tyler David.
