Harold Britt "Hal" Stinson was born June 7, 1938, in Waterville, WA, to Glen and Ruth (Britt) Stinson and passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Weatherford Regional Hospital, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 14 days.

Hal was raised and attended school in Waterville, graduating with the Class of 1956.  After graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force and moved to Edwards Air Force Base in California working in the communication technician department.  While working on base he met his future wife, Delores Jean "Dee" Gaunt, she held a civilian position on base in the flight test center.  They married September 11, 1959, in Weatherford.  After Hal completed his service with the USAF they moved to Oklahoma City, and both worked for the FAA and he was at Wiley Post Airport.  They moved to Weatherford to raise their family.  Hal and Dee both worked at 3M until retiring in 1996.  Hal enjoyed flipping houses, golfing, fishing, running his cattle and spending time with family and friends.  He was very involved in church activities where he served as a deacon and helping with organizing church dinners.

Hal is survived by two sons, Greg Stinson and wife, Glenda and Scott Stinson and wife, Michelle; four grandchildren, Tyler Stinson, Meagan Merkey and husband, Paul, Jay Stinson and wife, Jordan and Riley Stinson and fiancé, Bradley Pettijohn; and six great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dee; brother, Glen Stinson; and two sisters, Lola Van Dyke and Helen Jordan.

Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church or to the Oklahoma Blood Institute.
